AUSTRALIAN AGE SWIMMING CHAMPIOSHIPS

BEVY OF BREASTSTROKERS HEAD TO SYDNEY
Four Geelong Swimming Club Breaststroker specialists head toSydney this weekend for the Australian Age SwimmingChampionships next week.
Trent Richards, Olivia Dalton, Tyler Parkinson and Brock Norwood will compete in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke against the best in their age group in Australia.
Brock, who trains in Echuca, will also swim the 100m Butterfly.
Head Coach of the Geelong Swimming Club, John Beckworth, indicated that " all swimmers are in very good form after a very successful two months of school competition. They have been training very hard for the Australian Championships since January.”
Overall, a very successful week at the Australian Age Swimming Championships in Sydney. Thanks to all parents and swimmers for their support.
Olivia Dalton swam 1.18 and 2.50 for the 100 and 200 Breaststroke respectively. Despite a major focus on her Year 12 studies this year, Olivia still performed very well.
Tyler Parkinson did a 1.12 05 in his 100 Breaststroke to finish 17th and qualified 6th for the 200 Breaststroke final . He swam a 4 second PB in 2.33. in the heat and repeated the time in the final to finish ninth
Brock Norwood swam a 1.12 high in the 100 Breaststroke and 2.40 in the 200. His 1.01 in the 100 Butterfly heats was his second PB for the meet
Trent Richards slipped at the start of his 100 BRs which cost him a good meter and a half off the dive. He swam a courageous race to finish in 1.12. just outside his best. He recovered from his disappointment for a great swim in his 200m Breaststroke heats in 2.35 to finish 13th.
