All Juniors 2009

The qualifying round for Country All Junior competition was held at Lara in February.

40 plus swimmers from Geelong Swimming Club, including many members from Echuca, qualified for the Semi Finals to be held at MSAC.

Swimming Vic changed the format of the event and this proved to be very hectic and stressful especially on the Saturday.  The traffic getting to MSAC was stressful, parking was limited due to the Grand Prix and the Metro Semi Finals were in the morning, the semis started late and if that was not enough it was extremely hot and crowded inside MSAC.

There were many outstanding performances from GSC swimmers.  Many swimmers smashed their PB's and as a direct result the club was well represented in the finals on the Sunday.

Over 20 swimmers qualified for the finals and there were a number of exciting races.The club ended up with 3 gold medals - Bradley Jones, Harry Dalton and Claire Robinson all of who, have not won at this level before.  Other individual medalists were Breanna Beckley, Jacquline Nolen, Mitchell Norton, Luke Rush, Michelle Svetnik and Trent Richards.
