Outstanding Performances at Ballarat
The Geelong Swimming Club had 40 swimmers descend on Ballarat the week before Christmas for the GCO Swimming Club Annual Swim Meet held at the Eureka Stockade Pool.
The morning started off with a chill in the air. With the sky's looking ominous we were all looking a bit grey as to what the weather had installed for us.
Not known for being a fast pool the club had some excellent times with just 2-3 weeks out from Victorian State Long Course Championships.
Numerous swimmers still itching for that Victorian Country qualifying time left it to this swim meet to achieve their goals. Congratulations to all those swimmers.
The mixed relay teams were a highlight for our club. Teams were made up of 12/under and 13/over.
With the Clubs main focus now on the Victorian State Long Course Champs starting 4th January all swimmers will be training through the Christmas and New Year in preparation.
