2008 VICTORIAN SPRINT SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
HELD AT MSAC
Thirty three potential champions from the Geelong Swimming Club competed at the Victorian Sprint Championships at the weekend against the best in the state.
The club finished with fifteen finalists including gold medalist Harry Kershaw. Harry swam a personal best time of 33.37sec to win his first State Gold medal in the Men 11 & under 50m Butterfly.
Stephanie Taylor continued her impressive season winning two silver medals and a bronze medal in the Women 16 years 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and the 50m Backstroke respectively.
Brock Norwood was the other medal winner for the club finishing in third place in the Men 14 Years 50m Breaststroke.
The club was also represented by Trent Richards, Ayla Pearson, Tyler Parkinson(2), Olivia Dalton(3), and Jess Mackay in the finals. A special mention should be made of Luke Rush who swam in his first State final in the 11 Years 50m Breaststroke
