GSCF Highway Collection (Tin Rattle)

We are seeking support from club members and families 16 years old or over to undertake a major fundraiser in support of the GSC Foundation.

Unfortunately, there is little financial assistance available for sporting groups to provide the equipment, coaching and financial support required to enable multiclass and disadvantaged children to train as competitive swimmers. As a result the GSC has formed the Foundation to provide greater opportunity for fundraising to support these goals.

We have an ambitious plan to raise a ‘bucket load’ of cash by conducting a highway collection (tin rattle) at three intersections in Geelong on the 2 November 2019. I have run several of these for other organisations which have been very successful and the participants have had lots of fun.

We are aiming to run a morning and afternoon shift from 8am – 12pm and 12pm – 4pm. To maximise the event, a total of 54 shifts need to be filled (can’t do a full shift – no worries).

We appreciate your time is valuable so we hope by conducting a couple of major fundraisers per year, we will eliminate the requirement for smaller fundraising activities.

Apart from raising much needed funds the event provides a great opportunity to raise the profile of the GSC and the GSC Foundation.

Please go to our Team App and under Events/GSCF Tin Rattle, please register yourself and any family member or friend 16 or over to help your club and participate in a great day. If you are not on Team App please register your interest with Adam directly, see email below.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
