The INAS Global Games is an international multi-sport event for those with intellectual impairment.

Held in Brisbane over the past week, countries from all over the world competed in athletics, swimming, table tennis, rowing, basketball, futsal, tennis and cycling.

These games are a key pathway for athletes looking to compete at next years Paralympics.

The Geelong Swimming Club was proudly represented in the Australian Team by our very own superstars Phoebe Mitchell, Bradley Doolan and coach, Sadat Hussain.

Phoebe competed in nine individual events taking home seven gold, one silver and one bronze medal over the competition. She also received five gold and one silver medal for her efforts in the relays.

Bradley competed in eight individual events, finishing with two silver and three bronze medals. He also came away with one gold and two silver medals from his three relays.

Sadat Hussain was also selected in the team as a coach. He has been working closely with both Phoebe and Bradley over the recent past, preparing them for this major international competition.

We are very proud of the efforts of our swimmers and coach and cannot wait for them to return to the pool in Geelong.
