 Junior Excellence Program (JX)
Swimming Victoria in conjunction with Swimming Australia coordinates the Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX). All Swimmers (9-13 years) including SWD and Open Water competitors, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia at approved meets between between 1 April 2009 and 28 March 2010 will qualify at Green, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Gold Star standard. Click here for link to the qualifying times and all swimmers who have achieved the Junior Excellence standards.
Each swimmer receives:
- A special JX cap (9 & 10 yo) or a special JX T-shirt (11-13 yo)
- Certificate of achievement signed by the National Youth Coach and the Captain of the Australian Swim Team
- A motivational poster featuring elite Australian swimmers
- Go Swim Parent Handbook
- GO Swim Personal Best Time Booklet
- Publication of their name on the Swimming Australia website
The JX Forum is being held on 1st October at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. The Forum will start at 9am (registration from 8.30am) and presentations will finish by 12pm. Swimmers who received a Gold Star or Gold Standard award are invited to attend a swimming session from 12.30-3pm. More details to be circulated to JX recipients in due course.
