We had a big first morning with 13 Competitors racing 32 swims between them.

Every swimmer achieved either a PB or an improved ranking or improved FINA points score.

Tonight’s finals session sees the GSC with 11 finals.

Our first Medal winner of the meet was Lachlan Dosser with a Bronze in the 100 Backstroke during the heats session.

We had some impressive PB’s in the morning session 16 all up with the biggest ones coming from Matilda in the 400 Free – 9 Seconds and Byron 7 seconds in his 200IM.

We have boys and girls 12-14 relays happening tonight.

James Logan and Lachie Dosser swam some great PBs this morning in the Age group Multi-class well done boys.

Although we had a few less races in night 2 compared to night 1 it was just as impactful with some big races swum by our athletes.

Leading us off was Nicole Briscoe in her 200 fs, swimming faster than the morning she came 7th in a 2:09.85.

Matilda Byrnes was up next, racing as well as she trains – coming in 5th with a time of 1:00.86 in the 100 fs. It was a tight race with less than a second separating 2nd to 5th.

Nicole was back at it 30 minutes later racing her 100 IM and improving her ranking from heats to finals in a time of 1:08.62

Madi Cooper had a huge swim in her 200 backstroke stroke coming away with a PB of 2:15.51, an open national qualifying time and a silver medal.

Matilda wasn’t done after her 100 fs stepping back out under the lights for the splash and dash race of 100 IM. Improving her time from the morning she came 9th in a 1:12.33.

Leading us off and bring it home Nicole stepped up for her 3rd and toughest race of the night, the 200 Fly. Nicole not only improved her ranking and just missed out on a medal (4th), she dug deep and got a PB of 2:30.88.

Our relays were on fire as well, with improved rankings in the boys 12 -14 years Medley (21st to 14th). The girls 12 – 14 year Medley broke even coming in at 13th.

Not as busy as the first night, But just as exciting seeing our young swimmers perform under the pressure and lights of the finals.



It was a special day, not because it is Father’s Day (that is special as well) but because we stepped up as a team! Nicole F and Will Sanderson making a final for the first time with out of their skin swims.

Our 12 year old girls Matilda and Hayley continue to impress with solid swims in the heat sessions and making finals over the course of the meet.

Olivia and Madi again swimming heats to make it into to finals , Olivia in her pet event 200 Breast a great heat swim after a big PB in the 400 IM first up this morning to finish 7th overall in the 12-14 Age Group. Madi swimming the 200 Freestyle Finals and the 100 IM Final. The team had some other impressive heat swims this morning although not resulting in Finals the swimmers improved their rankings and executed races with the skills they have been working on in training.

The distance 800m Boys were on fire with big PBs this morning in the timed final, Dibs Fitzgerald an impressive 11 second PB and Byron a 7 second PB and Negative splitting the 2nd 400 well done boys.

Nicole F was our first swimmer of the night going out fast in the 200 Free, swimming her 1st State level final for 10th Place. Great job Nicole.

Followed shortly after by Madi Cooper in the 200 Freestyle for 15 yo Girls , Madi swam a strong race for a Pb time of 2.06.21 implementing her race place and attacking her walls Madi finished in 5th place

Matilda raced her first event of the evening, in a fast paced race of the 200 IM. She finished in 10th place with a Pb Time of 2.36.54.

Madi was back at it again in the 100 IM improving her 8th place ranking down to 6th Place with an on pb swim of 1.07.62

Hayley showed every body how to swim breaststroke with speed smashing her 200 Breast pb by 4 seconds Implementing her skills and race plan was how she went from 10th to 7th, great Job Hayley!

A gutsy swim by Olivia earnt her a 4 second PB from a pb swim this morning. Moving up in the rankings from 7th to 4th it’s only a matter of time she makes it to the podium.

Will Stokes Making his 2nd final of the meet came away from the final with some valuable experience which will push him to greater success in years to come. Will came in 10th place with a time of 1.06.53

Matilda in her 2nd Final of the night the 100 Backstroke swam another PB her second for the night coming in 7th position in a 1.09.92.

Will Sanderson – Making his 1st State Final with a moment defining swim in the heats , Will placed 8th in the Final with a big smile at the end .

Day 3 Capped off a great meet for our swimmers and coaches. Thank-you to the supporters and the parents, this weekend would not happen if you hadn’t invested time into the swimmers.
