Junior Excellence
The Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX), recognises rewards and encourages junior swimmers who, through their development of aquatic skills and fitness, achieve a high standard of swimming excellence.
Under the program, swimmers aged from 9 to 13 years, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
Youth Performance Squad
The Australian Youth Performance Squad (YPS) is an exciting new initiative designed to reward swimmers aged 13-18 for their performances in the pool. The YPS is an extension of the Junior Excellence program.
The JX & YPS Forum will be held on Saturday 4th September at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. All swimmers who achieved a 09/10 JX or YPS award are invited to attend. Parents and coaches of those swimmers are also welcome. Please put this date in your diary now as it is an event not to be missed! The JX & YPS Forum will include presentations by elite swimmers, coaches and other leading sports professionals.
A schedule will be available shortly and more information will be sent to clubs to pass onto their swimmers.
