School
What is the philosophy of your program?
Geelong SC Learn to Swim is based on Royal Lifesavings Swim & Survive program, teaching water safety and correct stroke technique. This provides various pathways into the 50 or so aquatic activities available in our region.
Do classes run during school holidays?
Yes, classes run for 49 weeks of the year with a 3 week break over Christmas.
Do we offer intensive classes?
Yes, we also offer additional intensive classes, which can be purchased, during some school holidays. Email notification will be sent prior to an intensive program being offered.
Do classes run during Public Holidays?
No, we observe public holidays including the Geelong Cup in lieu of the Melbourne Cup.

Enrolling and Attending
How do I enrol?
Just fill out the Enrolment form and we will be in touch.
What does my child need to bring?
A cap, pair of goggles, towel and warm clothes. Caps, goggles and hooded towels are available for sale on site.
If you happen to forget your cap and goggles, please come see the staff at the desk who will organise some spares for you.
Can I watch my Childs’ lessons?
Yes, we have two seated areas on pool deck, the first being at the end of the small pool and along the far (opposite admin desk) wall. There is also a viewing window from the foyer where table and chairs are also available.
Who do I talk to if I have a query?
Staff at the desk are happy to take your questions.

Lessons and Instructors
How long are the lessons?
We have a unique system whereby each level grouping increases in time in line with your Childs’ fitness and ability.

Level 01 to 03+ lessons are for 30min.

Level 04 to 06 lessons are for 45min.

Level 07 to 09 & advanced are for 60min.
How many students are in a class?
We aim at:

Level 01 to 03+ up to 4 students

How do you decide when children move up a level?
If they meet the performance criteria outlined in our curriculum as determined by our staff. Swimmer’s progress can be tracked via our customer portal online.
How do you handle discipline issues?
The swim school promotes listening and respect for their teacher and their classmates. If we encounter issues, they will be discussed with you and your child.
Terms and Conditions
Enrolment / Re-enrolment
Enrolments to our Program can be taken via email (info@geelongsclts.org.au) or by completing the enrolment pro forma at the top of this page. We will be in touch to organise an in-water assessment to ascertain your child’s correct level.
Enrolment and direct debit details must be completed at time of enrolment.
A $45 administration fee will be applied to your first debit for each individual enrolment.
Lesson Fees
Lesson fees are debited every 4 weeks in advance via Ezidebit, from an electronic bank transfer or credit card other than American Express. Ezidebit charges 2% on credit card and 80 cents on bank transfer.
Lesson fees are as follows:

30-minute lesson cost is $22.50 per lesson. Debit amount is $90.

45-minute lesson cost is $30. Debit amount is $120.

60-minute lesson cost is $34. Debit amount is $136.

Private lesson cost is $66. Debit amount is $264.

Transition Squad cost is$15. Debit amount is $60.

Fitness Squad cost is $15. Debit amount is $60.

If your payment fails, Ezidebit will automatically schedule a further two debits that will be processed 3-4 days apart. If the third attempt is not successful, your enrolment will be cancelled.
Please note that Ezidebit charges $9.90 for failed payments.
To re-enrol in the program outstanding lesson fees must be paid in full and a $45 administrative fee will be applied.
Lessons that fall on a public holiday will not be charged and payments adjusted accordingly. Please note the swim school observes the Geelong Cup as a public holiday not Melbourne Cup.
Suspension
To suspend lessons please complete the Suspension / Cancellation form below.
On receipt of your suspension form you will be un-enrolled from the program and a credit applied for the remainder of lessons in the 4-week debit cycle.
Please note:
A $45 administration fee will apply when the student is re-enrolled.
A suspension request cannot be backdated.
Verbal request will not be accepted.
Cancellation
To activate a cancellation please complete the Suspension / Cancellation form below.
A cancellation from must be received by the week prior to the next scheduled debit. If this is not received, you will be debited and remain enrolled for the next 4-week period and your cancellation processed the following cycle.
Refund/Credit and Makeup Classes
Lessons are not refundable, and we do not offer credits or make up lessons.
General
GSC LTS reserves the right to cancel or change classes and/or teachers or move students at any time.
Families and students will be sent a link to the Thinksmart Portal and provided a barcode which should be scanned before the commencement of each lesson to register the Childs attendance. The mobile phone number used for your enrolment may also be used in lieu of the barcode.
Privacy
The type of personal information we collect is set out on the Thinksmart Portal is for purposes including to contact and communicate with you, for internal record keeping and marketing.
We may use information for purposes including to provide our products and services to you, and as required by law.
Access: You may request details of personal information that we hold about you, in certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information Correction: If you believe that any information, we hold on you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, please update it through our Thinksmart Portal.

Photography and Filming
Once enrolled at GSCLTS you acknowledge and consent to photographs, videos and any electronic images being taken of you and your children during your participation in GSCLTS lessons and other activities and events organised by GSCLTS by our professional staff.
From time to time, GSCLTS uses video as part of its teaching curriculum to provide feedback to students, improve student’s technique and further enhance skill acquisition. All reasonable steps are taken to ensure the security of the devices and information contained.
You acknowledge and agree that such photographs, videos and images are owned by GSCLTS and that GSCLTS may use photographs for promotional or other purposes without further consent being necessary.

Supervision of Children during Aquatic Program
Parents are required to provide constant and direct supervision of their children in and around water and are responsible for toileting of children. Each student 10 years or under must be always supervised by a responsible parent/guardian 16 years or older while in the facility.
Parents/Guardians are reminded that children and siblings cannot wander throughout the CCG Sports and Aquatic complex and use other facilities (i.e. Basketball court, Gymnastics equipment). GSCLTS and CCG accept no liability or responsibility for any injury suffered as a result.
