At Geelong Swimming Club, we believe in more than just laps, we’re built on mentorship, individual growth, and supporting every swimmer to reach their potential.
Our squads offer structured pathways for athletes at every stage, from those just starting to race, through to state and national levels.
A key part of this journey is our Program Coach, who works across all squads to mentor younger coaches, support our squad coaches, and run specialised skill sessions. Whether you're developing technique, finesse in race strategy, or stepping up training intensity, our coaching team alongside the Program Coach ensures each swimmer receives the guidance and investment needed to thrive.

National Squad
Tailored for athletes targeting success at national competitions. Emphasizes comprehensive training programs that enhance endurance, strength, and race strategies, preparing swimmers for peak performance at national meets.

Senior
Competitive Squad
The Club Competitive Squad is for 14 + and upwards who enjoy their swimming but without the higher performance requirements. The focus of training is on all elements from Speed to Aerobic work. The Dryland component is for general fitness and overall core development, with some strength conditioning. The Club squad is encouraged to swim individual events at SV Country Championships & in relays providing they meet QT’s, and GSC Championships Relay Policy
